Current Beauty Favourites #2

I have been eager to write up a second current beauty favourites, there's been plenty of new purchases recently allowing me to try out exciting things but I have also been loving a few things that I previously wasn't fussed about.

I popped into Boots to visit the Benefit counter and was told that if you purchase two items you get a few samples, so I picked up the Boi-ing Concealer in fair and I have been loving it. I did technically include this concealer in the last favourites post but I completely forgot this when I was snapping the photos for this one, though technically the one included in the previous post was a sample in a much darker shade. This is of course the full product in the shade fair which is perfect for my skin tone.

One of the samples that I was given was the Gimme Brow, a tinted brow gel that I have been eager to try but never got round to. I have it in the shade light/medium but I think I'd prefer the darker shade as I colour my brows in quite dark, this shade seems to be more suitable for blondes. It applies so nicely and keeps my brows from straying, such a good product.

A product I have owned forever but never been that bothered about is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge yet I now use it on a daily basis. I thought I'd give the applying foundation with a sponge a try, using the stippling technique (where you sort of dab it on) and I have been so pleased with the results. I've used a lot less product in comparison to using a brush and get a much smoother finish, it's also better for building up a higher coverage on tricky blemishes.

Another Real Techniques product I have been loving is their Multitask brush which was included in the Sam Pic's Set so I can't link it. It is the perfect brush for bronzer, blusher and highlighter and is a brush that is perfect for travel. I have been using it with my Make Up Revolution Highlighter in Peach Lights which I picked up in Superdug on a whim when looking for a pretty powder highlighter, it was such a bargain and I know Make Up Revolution are a much talked about brand I couldn't resist. I've used this everyday since and I can't believe how good it is, it's the perfect highlight for day to day but is of course buildable for a more intense look.

  1. I really want to give the benefit Boi-ing concealer a try, nothing seems to be able to conceal my dark circles and spots! Wake me up is alright but I'm sure there's better out there!
