5 Little Things That Make Me Happy

II was sat thinking about some of small things in life that make me happy and I decided I would write a post about it. It might be a little bit random but I do want to start being a little more personal on the blog, then you can get to know me a little more.

Not having to wash my hair in the morning.
I am that type of girl who despises washing her hair. It's long, it's thick and it takes a lot of effort to wash it, dry it and style it so I'd rather skip washing. There is worse than having to get ready knowing my hair is a grease pit, especially when dry shampoo won't help. Don't worry though I do wash my hair, I just try and wash it in the evening when I have plenty of time instead.

Finding lost clothing.
I was going to make this about finding that odd sock you've been trying to find for years (isn't that extremely satisfying) but I remembered when my Mum found one of my favourite t-shirts that was lost for months, I gave up in the end assuming I had left it at work or something but she ended up finding it in the washing basket underneath the lining, I was soooo happy.

Waking up with no spots.
I'm sure many of you can relate to this one. I don't need to explain it too much but when you regularly get spots it's like part of your routine to look in the mirror and see what's appeared on your face today, so when there are no newbies it's a happy little moment.

When I shuffle my music and it plays my favourite song.
I listen to music on my phone a lot and usually put it on shuffle, often having to press skip quite a few times till I find the right song. Sometimes I'm lucky and it shuffles to the perfect song and the next couple of songs are also perfect too. It really is the little things.

Waking up to a duvet that hasn't moved.
That sentence might sound a little strange. When I'm asleep I do a lot, I kick, I swear, I shout.. I am an utter fidget bum, so of course when I wake up my duvet is half off the bed. The days when I wake up to my duvet on the bed, straight and even sometimes still tucked in it's like a miracle and it puts refreshing smile on my face as it simply tells me I had a really good sleep.

What little things make you happy?

  1. I HATE washing my hair in the morning too, mine's so long adn thick that it takes forever and just makes me want to stay in bed. A lot of the time I persuade myself by going to the gym or working out at home, and then having to wash it to make me feel refreshed!
