My Favourite Coat

Yes, you are reading a fashion post and yes it does include actual outfit photos, I'm in shock too! This rare post was completely spontaneous, the log pile intrigued me to take some nice photos of well.. the logs, and out of no where I decided they would make a good background for outfit shots. Though the sun was setting quickly and let's just say teaching my boyfriend how to manually focus when it's dark turned out to be a task, so I apologise for the bad/lack of photographs.

I bought this black boyfriend coat from New Look in Autumn last year as I was eager to purchase a coat that was a bit more 'grown up' in comparison to my usual oversized parkas. I browsed through many high street shops but had little luck into finding something I liked and although I'm not a fan for  New Look's choices it seemed I was in luck. I was all smiles when I picked up this coat and tried it on, there was just two left and just my luck, one was my size.

The silver detailing and zips give it a little definition and the material makes it very warm for the colder months. I was however worried about purchasing a coat without a hood as it's unusual for me and the weather in the UK often includes rain, but it's easy to layer a thick hooded sweatshirt underneath when the skies are looking a little grey. On a day to day basis I tend to style it with a cosy jumper, black leggings and my brogues - who needs colour?

I'm sure every girl has a favourite coat and this is mine.
