Make Up Look: Day To Day

I've only ever shown two make up looks on my blog: back to basics and one brush one palette. So I thought it was about time I showed you my day to day look. It's very simple and takes me about 20-30 minutes to complete and is perfect for school and work.

I start by applying my Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer as this gives me a smooth even base and helps to ensure the make up stays put throughout the day. I then use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to blend the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in, I use a mixture of Porcelain 10 and Classic Ivory 101 as it creates the perfect shade for my skin tone. After foundation is of course time for concealer, I use the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade fair as it gives a high coverage without drying out. I apply this to all the needed areas and use the Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush out of the Core Collection to blend it into the skin.

Onto eyes I start with my eyebrows, I use the spooley on my Anastasia Duo Brow Brush to brush the hairs into shape and then fill them in lightly with the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in dark brown just filling in the gaps and attempting to make both brows symmetrical. Once the brows are finished with

I use the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Permanent Taupe over the lid and on the lower lash line using my index finger, this gives my lid a nice base before applying powdered shadows. I then go on to my most loved Naked 2 Palette, first applying 'tease' over the entire lid blending completely into the crease using my MAC 217 brush, I then apply 'pistol' to the outter corner and work it in towards the centre of my lid using the Angled Shadow Brush out of the Nic's Pics collection and then using the MAC 217 brush again I apply a tiny amount of the 'busted' shade to the very outer corner blending it slightly into the crease and on the lower lash line. I then use the Base Shadow Brush out of the Real Technqiues Nic's Pics collection to apply the 'verve' shade on the inner corner. To complete the eye look I apply the Benefit They're Real Mascara to my top lashes and the  Maybelline Falsies Mascara in waterproof black on the lower lashes so they aren't as lengthened as my top lashes.

It's then time to finish up by applying my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in transparent using the Real Techniques Powder Brush, then using the Contour Brush out of the Core Collection I apply my Bourjois Bronzing Powder to the forehead, jaw line and cheekbones to add colour and to contour a little. It's then time for blush, I'm currently loving the new Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in the shade Nude Mauve  and I apply this to the apples of my cheeks using the MAC 116 Blush Brush. Last but not least is time for the lips and at the moment I'm using Maybelline Colorstay Nude Lipstick in Coffee Craze as it's a love nude with a hint of pink.

I hope you liked this make up look, it would been much better as a YouTube tutorial but for now it shall be done in blog posts!

What looks would you like me to do?
