May Favourites

When the month comes to an end I know it's time to gather my favourite products and write a post about them. During May I only ended up with just four favourites, though I could of easily added lots of random new products I've tried and liked, but I only wanted to add the things I have loved.

Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush
Like many girls, I love Real Technique brushes, in fact they often make their way into my favourites posts as they are affordable, high quality and easy to find, but this foundation brush was never one I used, but by accident I managed to use this brush for concealer and after that accident, it's become consistent. This brush manages to pick up a good amount of product, applies to the face evenly and smoothly, is the perfect size and shape for using around the eyes and overall is a fantastic brush.

Benefit Posietint
The Benefit lip and cheek tints have been around for quite some time, I've previously had a Benefit consultant apply Benetint on my lips and cheek and I wasn't that fussed, but after buying the "Have A Beauty Day" pack (review post soon) I ended up with Posietint, which is a "Poppy-pink" shaded tint. I'm not overly fussed with it on my cheeks, although it creates a nice colour but I am obsessed with using it on my lips. The main thing I love about it is how long it lasts, it really stains your lips unlike other lip products that when used, need frequent attention. It gives such a simple pink colour that can be worn lightly, built up or even used with other products such as pink lipsticks or lip glosses. I can't wait for you to see the full review on this product!

Rimmel 100% Waterproof Mascara
This is not a great mascara.. it doesn't lengthen the lashes or create volume and the packaging is far from fun, but it's the best waterproof mascara I've ever used and I'm not exaggerating. I haven't used a waterproof mascara for a long time and I've become so fed up with having panda eyes from hay fever and sensitivity I thought buying a waterproof mascara to coat over my normal mascara would be a good idea and I was right! It has been a life saver regarding eye make-up!

Rimmel ScandalEyes Thick and Thin Eyeliner
A slanted pen eye liner that lets you create a thin or thick line, one of the great additions to Rimmel's ScandalEyes range. I picked up this product at the start of May and when I first used it, I was disappointed but after using it for a second time I realised I just needed practice, since then I've used it every week, after getting used to the slanted nib it's really easy to create a look I love. It's waterproof, too which means it doesn't run, smudge or flake and it also dries very quickly after applying which makes it great for getting ready in a rush.

See my April favourites here.

Happy 100th Post too, thank you for joining me on my blogging journey!

  1. Happy 100th post! I really want to try the posetint - I have benetint but think this is a bit softer :)
