Review: Tanya Burr's Nails In Mini Marshmallows

So we all know Tanya Burr launched her very own line of lip glosses and nail varnishes a few month ago now and last month her collection went into many Superdrug stores across the UK.

I was a little bit disappointed at the stock of her collection in-store especially as a lot of the varnishes I planned to purchase were out of stock, but luckily there was only one Mini Marshmallow varnish left so I was quick to grab it. I guess the shortage of products shows how popular it all is!

Mini Marshmallows really relates to the name as it's a similar colour to the pink marshmallows you find in bags of mini marshmallows. It's a very girly pale pink that's easy to wear and is perfect for spring!

The design is quite simple, a transparent bottle with the logo printed on the front, the lid is plastic which I'm not to fond of as it feels quite cheap and whenever I unscrew the lid it seems to stick a little. On top of the lid there's a sticker with the heart part of her logo in pink. I think it'd be a little better if the heart was printed on, but it's still a nice tough. The brush is quite long but reasonably thin and is also made out of plastic.

When applying this varnish, the brush coated the nail well, it gave a smooth coat. The first coat is very thin, you can hardly tell there's varnish on the nail, the second coat gives more colour but I still found it quite thin. I ended up doing four coats to ensure it was a clear finish. The varnish ended up really bumpy which is a bit strange, I'm not sure if this is due to the varnish or just because of the amount of coats but either way it's very disappointing. Another disappointing factor is that I found each coat took a while to dry, which of course increases the chances of smudging, chipping and so on. One thing I am extremely happy with is the final colour of this varnish after as it is the exact same colour as it looks in the bottle as you can tell from the above picture, I do find the colour being so exact quite rare for nail varnishes so this is a bonus!

I would love to know if you've tried out any of Tanya's varnishes of lip glosses, let me know!
